Fall North American Dates For U2 - At Least Three MSG Stops
I really, really hope that U2 and Ticketmaster have got it together this time around. Today U2 announced their fall 2005 tour and it includes three Madison Square Garden shows, October 7, 8 and 10 and a December 7 visit to the Hartford Civic Center. Also, there's a five day gap between the MSG dates and the next shows, in Philadelphia, so it's possible there may be even more New York shows.
In case you've forgotten, the members-only pre-sale for the spring leg turned into a complete fiasco (details here), generating anger amongst long-time fans and prompting apologies from the band themselves. They've promised to do a better job this time around, but I still have my doubts. Demand will still overwhelm supply, brokers will still get the best seats and Ticketmaster can never be trusted. I hope to be proven wrong.

It's no secret that the pre-sale to the North American first leg of the tour failed many fans, but the new method should enable those U2.Com Subscribers in North America without tickets to get them this time round. There are more shows than before, we have far more tickets available and they are spread throughout the venue.
